Others arrived, who needed more than words and songs; they needed shoes, clothing and food. A clothing closet was initiated, followed by the first diner, which was quite simple. Step by step, as if arising out of nothing, all the other projects came about in a similar way.
Each project developed in its own time, as if it were all well planned. One thing led to another, until now we have a congregation of men, women and children who love God and their neighbors as well. God taught us that he loves people, for whom he sent his Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross. And he doesn’t forget to provide for those same people in this troubled world, messed up by others without Christ and ruined by selfishness, corruption, blasphemy and other sins.
Our task is to help people with problems suffering from drugs, abandonment, poverty and complicated illnesses. We do not pretend to be a rehabilitation center, nor one for alternative therapy. We simply receive with Christian love those who have no place to go. We communicate Christ to them and help them to recover. Those who have gone successfully through this experience share and help with their work and effort to supply the basic needs of others, while they are working to reestablish themselves again in society.
Since for all of us the task that God has assigned to us has been a great adventure and blessing, we want to show you a little of what goes on among us. In addition, we invite you to participate in the task or visit us when you desire, in any of our places of labor.
